About Abdul Qadir Bedil
Mirza Abdul Qadir Bedil (1642–1720) was a towering Persian poet, philosopher, and Sufi mystic of the Indian subcontinent. Known for his deeply contemplative and symbol-laden style, Bedil explored profound themes such as the self, the cosmos, divine love, and inner truth through a language rich in abstraction and spiritual insight.
His poetry continues to resonate across cultures—from India and Afghanistan to Iran and Central Asia—offering a path not only to aesthetic delight but to metaphysical awakening.
The Bedil Foundation Pakistan was established to preserve, promote, and revitalize the legacy of this extraordinary thinker for new generations of readers, scholars, and seekers.
بیدل کا مختصر تعارف
میرزا عبدالقادر بیدلؒ (1642–1720) برِّ صغیر کے ایک بلند پایہ فارسی شاعر، مفکر اور صوفی تھے، جن کا شمار ہندوستان میں فارسی ادب کے سب سے منفرد اور پیچیدہ اسلوب کے حامل شعرا میں ہوتا ہے۔ بیدل نے انسانی وجود، کائنات، عشق، خودی اور معرفت جیسے عمیق موضوعات کو نہایت رمز آگیں اور فکری انداز میں نظم کیا۔
ان کی شاعری میں تفکر، تجرید اور روحانیت کا ایسا امتزاج ملتا ہے جو قاری کو محض الفاظ کی سطح پر نہیں، باطن کی گہرائیوں میں لے جاتا ہے۔ بیدل کا کلام افغانستان، ایران، تاجکستان اور برِّ صغیر میں آج بھی فکری غذا اور روحانی بالیدگی کا ذریعہ سمجھا جاتا ہے۔
بیدل فاؤنڈیشن پاکستان اسی عظیم شاعر کے فکر و فن کو محفوظ کرنے، عام فہم بنانے، اور نئی نسل تک پہنچانے کے لیے قائم کی گئی ہے۔
